Develop your coaching and mentoring skills through this Level 5 Professional Coaching in Education Apprenticeship. Designed for professionals looking to support others through skilled, non-directive coaching.

Part of LMP’s Future Leaders programme designed to close the skills gap and support staff.

This programme available in three pathways to suit a range of sectors

  • Professional Coaching in Education
  • Professional Coaching in Early Years
  • Professional Coaching in Business

This 9 month programme will provide you with fully funded (FREE), structured training to develop your skills and knowledge as a qualified coach, as well as increase your earning potential.

Upon completion, you will gain a recognised Level 5 Professional Coaching qualification as well as Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 5 Certificate in effective Coaching and Mentoring.

Entry Requirements

To start this apprenticeship, you must have lived in the UK 3+ years minimum and have a form of UK ID required at enrolment. You must be age 16+ (with no upper age limit) with no prior learning within the area of study.   
  
You must also be employed with leadership responsibilities and looking develop skills in leadership and management. 

What You Will Learn

The Coaching Professional programme equips you with all the required tools to adequately support and coach individuals within your chosen sector.

During this programme you will be introduced to a range of structured, research-informed coaching models used across education and leadership development. These include:

GROW – A widely used model that supports goal-setting and problem-solving by guiding conversations through four stages: Goal, Reality, Options and Will

OSKAR – A strengths-based, solution-focused framework built around Outcome, Scaling, Know-how, Affirm and Review, helping to move colleagues forward through reflective dialogue

CLEAR – A model designed for deeper coaching relationships, focusing on Contracting, Listening, Exploring, Action and Review, ideal for supporting longer-term development goals. These models provide a flexible toolkit for coaches to adapt to different situations – whether you’re developing new staff, supporting experienced colleagues, or embedding a coaching culture across your setting.
